Are Kilts appropriate in America?

The thought about wearing kilts in America came up when I thought I would love to wear one. This has nothing to do with wearing a dress or skirt. on the contrary, I think it would be very easily worn and more than likely it looks comfortable. (I imagine why most Irish and scottish guys wear them- aside from the family heritage).

Would wearing a kilt be publicly acceptable here in the states? Do you think this is just another form of becoming victim to being bullied? There are so many questions in between those two that puzzles me. Would my own family accept the idea of me wanting to wear a kilt(s)? I’ve seen visitors in the tourists area’s wear them and they get stopped frequently, Im sure with lots of questions or “picture taking” only to talk about them later.

Have you ever thought of wearing a kilt? Even tho most of America knows about kilts- would they be acceptable? America is for the most part still segregated on opinions and deep rooted feelings. People are still being prosecuted on what they openly say, do, dress, or act whether it be straight behavior or gay tendencies or any surrounding members of homosexuality.

We should make kilts fashionable- just to see what might happen in the trending news.
